Painting on Silk

I was born in Jerusalem, to a religious family, absorbing the atmosphere of Judaism at home. Painting, and art in general, accompanied me all my life.
After service in the army, I married my husband, Moshe, and studied textile design at the University of Textile & Fashion "Shenkar". For years I had designed bedding & curtains.
For 15 years now, I have my own studio for painting on silk, creating Judaica: challa covers, matza covers, talith and home textile products like: cushions, tablecloths and runners. All of my works are hand crafted.
My paintings combine Jewish tradition with a love of Israel. Color combinations in my work are influenced by Israeli nature: Sun, blue sky, trees and flowers, the sea and desert.
Color for me is a language, with which I express emotions. I use natural environmentally friendly materials in my work, Silk & linen, to create unique, one of a kind items.
I am sure you will enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed making them.
